At 10 a.m. on September 25, 2024, Li Huimin, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Henan Polytechnic University, He Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Wang Xiaoling, Director of the Student Affairs Office, led more than 20 students to Doing Holdings Co., Ltd. for in-depth exchanges, aiming to understand the talent needs of international trade and cross-border e-commerce and open up new ideas for students' employment. The students participating in the exchange covered all grades and 2 graduate students. With their vision and thirst for knowledge for future career development, they actively participated in this event.
During the exchange, Doing Holdings Co., Ltd., on behalf of Manager Zhang Hongchao and relevant persons in charge, warmly received the teachers and students. Ms. Zhang, the general manager of Doing's Foreign Trade Operations Department, gave teachers and students a detailed introduction to the development status, future trends and specific needs of talents in the international trade and cross-border e-commerce industries. Through the sharing of actual cases in previous recruitment and training processes, students have a deep understanding that in this field, not only solid foreign language professional skills are needed, but also international trade knowledge, cross-cultural communication skills and innovative thinking are required.
The college leaders and company leaders had an in-depth discussion on talent training, internships and employment. Dean Li Huimin said that the college has been committed to cultivating high-quality foreign language talents that meet social needs. Deputy Secretary He Jun emphasized the importance of student employment and hoped to provide students with more employment opportunities and development platforms through close cooperation with enterprises.
After the meeting, students also actively asked questions and interacted with the company's staff. Graduate student representatives raised questions about the application of professional knowledge in practical work, which were patiently answered by company professionals. The senior undergraduates showed great interest in employment prospects and career development plans, and the company staff gave valuable suggestions based on their own experience. Through this exchange, the junior and sophomore students understood the industry needs in advance and clarified the direction for their studies and future career planning.
